Work Hours Tracker is an iOS timesheet built for hourly workers, freelancers, shift schedulers, and anyone who needs a precise record of the hours they have worked and the pay they have earned. It replaces the paper notebook at the bottom of the drawer: one tap when you arrive, one tap when you leave, and the rest happens automatically - minutes are summed, breaks are subtracted, overtime is applied, and the running total of what you are owed stays up to date.
One-tap clock in and out
The home screen is a single big timer. Tap to start your shift, tap to end it. The session length is shown to the minute, today's total and estimated earnings are visible at a glance, and a quiet banner appears the moment you cross into overtime so you are never surprised at the end of the month.
You can run multiple timers in parallel. A barista with a weekday cafe shift and a weekend market gig sees both ledgers in the same app, with overtime, breaks and pay calculated independently for each job. Manual entries exist for the days you forgot to clock - swipe back into the calendar and add a shift with start, end and break, and the totals recalculate on the spot.
13 labor law presets - and full custom rules
Overtime, night-shift pay and weekly caps are not the same in every country. Work Hours Tracker ships with presets for China, the United States (federal and California), Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico and Singapore. Pick the region you work in and the daily threshold, the tiered multipliers and the night window are applied automatically.
If your contract or collective agreement has its own rules, switch to Custom and define exactly what you need: when overtime starts, how many tiers there are, the multiplier for each tier, when night pay kicks in, and the weekly cap above which a higher rate applies. The same engine that runs the presets runs your rules, so the math stays consistent whichever mode you choose.
Automatic pay and overtime calculation
Set your hourly rate once and your earnings update in real time. The dashboard shows today's hours and today's money side by side, the week view breaks down regular and overtime hours per job, and the monthly view shows what you can expect before the payslip arrives.
Tiered overtime multipliers are handled automatically: just past the threshold one rate applies, beyond a longer stretch a higher rate kicks in, and rest days and public holidays follow their own rules. Night-shift pay, where it is owed, is added on top. The currency is yours to choose, and switching between jobs only changes the rate - never the math.
Statistics at a glance
Charts turn the data into something you can read in a few seconds. The work-hours trend shows whether you are working more or less than last month; the earnings trend shows the same for your income; the per-job breakdown makes it obvious where your time is actually going. Filter by week, month, quarter or year, and switch between hours and money with one tap.
Export, backup and sharing
Every record can be exported as a CSV, a PDF, or an Excel workbook with a dedicated overtime breakdown sheet - useful for sharing with a payroll clerk, an accountant, or for keeping a personal copy when a contract ends. Excel export is a Pro feature; CSV and PDF work for everyone.
Backup and restore cover your full ledger. Save a snapshot to your Files app, move it to iCloud or Google Drive yourself, and bring it back on a new device in seconds. Sharing a single shift or a whole month works the same way - one tap, one file, no server in the middle.
15-country holiday sync
Public holidays are synced automatically for fifteen countries and regions and overlaid on your calendar, so you can see at a glance whether the day you are about to clock into is paid at the base rate or at the holiday rate. This makes planning around long weekends and bridge days straightforward, and it removes the "did I get the right rate?" question from the end of every month.
Local-only, privacy-first
All your data stays on your device. Clocking in, the calculations, the exports, the backups - none of it makes a network call. Nothing is uploaded to a server, no account is required, and the app bundles no analytics SDK. You can also turn on biometric app lock (fingerprint or Face ID) so the timesheet is for your eyes only.
If you ever uninstall the app, its local data - including any unsynced records - is removed with it.
