Typing a total from a crumpled paper receipt is the fastest way to stop tracking. Money Tracker removes that step.
Scan a receipt
Above the amount field sits a small camera card. Take a picture of the receipt and the App pre-fills the total, the date and a tentative merchant name. The recognition runs on your phone - the photo is processed locally and is never uploaded to a server or to a third-party OCR service.
Check before you save
Every pre-filled value stays editable. The recognition reads what it can and admits what it cannot: the total is a proposal, the date is a guess, the merchant name is often a fragment of a logo. Open the form, correct what is off, then save. One glance is enough, and your ledger stays accurate.
Scan a card or account number
A second scanning flow lives in the account edit form. Point it at a bank card or account number and the App reads the digits for you, so setting up an account no longer means squinting at a small font and retyping sixteen numbers.
Nothing leaves the device
Both scanning flows run on the device, on the same local database that holds your transactions. There is no upload step, no cloud OCR account, and no photo retained after the fields are filled in.
