Free vs. Pro - what's the actual difference
The free version of Extract Audio keeps every feature - convert, compress, extract audio, merge, clip, speed, resize, GIF - none are held back. The only difference is ads: the free version shows banner ads (IAB Medium Rectangle 300x250) on the Home, History, and Settings screens; Pro removes all banner ads.
What the free version includes
- All 8 tools, with no feature limits
- All 11 video output formats
- All 6 audio output formats
- Extract Audio: up to 20 clips per run; Convert / Compress / Merge: multi-select with no hard cap; Speed / Clip / Resize / GIF: single clip
- History records and auto-saved drafts
- The only restriction: banner ads in three places (Home, History, Settings)
What Pro adds
- No banner ads - pick your settings, get straight to the result
- Auto-renewing subscription through the App Store
That's it. Pro doesn't unlock "premium tools," "higher quality," or "faster speed" - all features are complete in the free version. Pro just removes the ads.
Who should subscribe
- Heavy users - a few clips a day, and the ads start adding up to real time
- Work contexts - screen recordings, editing, content production where you don't want ads breaking the flow
- Experience-minded users - prefer a clean app and never want to wait through a "5 seconds, then continue" delay
Who doesn't need to
- Light users - two or three times a month, ads barely register
- People already subscribed to other video tools - the core functionality is fully covered in the free version
- Anyone unbothered by banner ads - the 300x250 slot on Home isn't going to ruin your day
Pricing
Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Apple App Store. Exact prices appear on the App Store listing and vary by region and applicable taxes. You can cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings - cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which the subscription won't renew.
How to restore purchases
After switching phones or reinstalling the app, sign in with the same Apple ID and tap "Restore Purchases" inside Settings - your subscription comes back with the account. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID and can't be moved between different Apple IDs.
