Screenshot Cleanup
Screenshots are meant to be temporary — a boarding pass, a receipt, a code to type in — yet they sit in your library forever. CleanPhoto pulls them out of the crowd and lays them out by day, so the backlog finally becomes visible.
How screenshots are found
On iOS, the system keeps a dedicated Screenshots album. CleanPhoto reads that album directly, so detection is exact. On Android, screenshot storage varies by manufacturer, so the scan checks album names first, and when no screenshot album exists, it inspects each image's title and file path for the naming patterns devices use for screenshots.
Grouped by day
Everything found is grouped by the day it was captured, with the most recent day first. Each group shows every screenshot with its file size, so you can see how much space each day of screenshots actually occupies.
Review and clear
Work through the days one at a time: keep the few screenshots that still matter — a warranty code, a saved conversation — and mark the rest for deletion. Confirm, and they are removed through the system photo library. Nothing outside your selection is touched.
Why screenshots are the easiest win
Screenshots are usually full-screen, rarely edited and almost never missed after a week. For most libraries, clearing old screenshots is the single fastest storage recovery, and since they are grouped by day you can stop at any point — say, everything older than three months — without reviewing the whole set.
