About Audio Editor - Offline Editing, Enhancement, and Conversion

Last updated: 2026-10-17

Audio Editor is a fully offline audio tool for iPhone, organized around three categories: editing, enhancement, and conversion. Video files can be fed in to extract their audio tracks, but the editor itself only accepts audio clips - all processing runs locally on your device, and no files are uploaded.

The three categories

Editing - Drop multiple audio clips onto a timeline and trim, split, rearrange, change speed, or reverse each one independently. Each clip can be saved as a new piece; the source files stay untouched until you export.

Enhancement - Channel split, channel merge, noise reduction, voice enhance, normalize, stereo widening. These can be stacked on the same clip in any order.

Conversion - Reads 10 audio input formats and exports to MP3, WAV, FLAC, or OGG. It can also pull the audio track out of MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, or WMV video. Videos are never opened by the editor directly - they're used only as an "audio source."

Supported formats

10 audio inputs: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AIFF, AMR, CAF. 4 audio outputs: MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG.

8 video formats, read only as an "audio source": MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV. The editor itself does not accept video clips.

Fully on-device

Editing, enhancement, conversion, extraction, compression, merge - every operation runs on your iPhone. Video files, audio files, and intermediate results never leave the device. The only network calls are the banner ads shown in the free version on Home, History, and Settings, and subscription validation through RevenueCat.

Free vs. Pro

Every feature is free to use. The free version shows banner ads on three screens - Home, History, and Settings. Pro removes the banner ads and renews automatically through the App Store.

History and drafts

Every task is logged to history, so you can revisit the parameters or run it again. Drafts in the multi-track editor save automatically while you drag - switch screens and come back, and your settings are still there.
